The U.S. Navy has released its latest GOES-13 infrared satellite image of Tropical Storm Isaac. Isaac is expected to turn into a hurricane on Tuesday, so this may be one of the final images we see of what is now called “Tropical Storm” Isaac.
The image was produced by the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory in Monterey, Calif. It shows the storm as of 1 a.m. EDT.
Isaac is expected to make landfall on the Gulf Coast, possibly New Orleans.
