A member of the Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Fire Department in Marietta, Ga. died on Friday night while responding to a fire alarm call.
FireFighterCloseCalls.com reports that Firefighter Christ Swan suffered an undisclosed medical issue while en-route to the fire call. The United States Fire Administration reported that Swan became suddenly fatigued and went into cardiac arrest. The official cause of death was listed a a stress induced heart attack.
Other firefighters in the industrial fire department tried to revive him, but their efforts were not successful.
Christ was 57 and had been a firefighter for 28 years.
