NASA on Sunday scrubbed a rocket launch from the Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia due to bed weather.
The rocket, which is now scheduled to blast into space on Monday morning, is carrying an inflatable heat shield technology demonstrator, a potentially revolutionary technology that may help people one day make easy landings on other planets.
Scientists say this technology could help cargo drops as well and aid in landings for experimental robots and other spacecraft.
The launch is currently scheduled for sometime between 5-8 a.m. It will be visible along the Wallops and in the southern Chesapeake Bay region.
